How to Make Aam Ki Khatai Chutney
Aam Ki Khatai Chutney is a quick Indian condiment. It has a delicious tangy and spicy flavor.
This chutney requires only a few ingredients. Dried raw mango provides its signature sourness. Green chilies add heat. Garlic and fresh coriander add extra flavor.
You can serve this chutney with samosas. It also tastes delicious with pakoras and roti.
It is especially good with Arbi leaf pakoras. If you have published your Arbi Ke Patte Ke Pakode recipe, its internal link can be placed here.
Soak the Khatai
Take 2–3 pieces of khatai. Cut them into smaller pieces.
Soak the pieces for about 10–15 minutes. This softens the dried mango.
It also makes the khatai easier to blend.
Prepare the Chutney
Take 2–3 green chilies. Add 1–2 garlic cloves.
Next, take 8–10 fresh coriander leaves. Add ¼ teaspoon salt.
Transfer everything to a blender. Add the soaked khatai.
Blend the ingredients until combined.
Fruit can form part of a varied, balanced diet. You can learn more about fruit and balanced eating from the official ICMR-NIN Dietary Guidelines for Indians.
Blend Until Smooth
Stop the blender once and check the texture.
If the chutney is still coarse, blend it again. Continue until it becomes fine and smooth.
Your tangy and spicy mango chutney is now ready.
What Can You Use Instead of Khatai?
This recipe uses dried mango khatai. However, the video also suggests a few alternatives.
You can use amchur instead. Tamarind is another option. Anardana powder can also provide sourness.
The final flavor may change with each substitute. Adjust the amount according to your taste.
