How to Make Restaurant Style Hakka Noodles
Restaurant Style Hakka Noodles are quick, flavorful and loaded with crunchy vegetables. The combination of noodles, fresh vegetables and sauces creates a delicious Indo-Chinese dish.
Start by boiling water in a large pot. Add a little salt and then add the noodles. Cook them until just done.
Avoid overcooking the noodles. Drain them and toss with a little oil. This helps prevent them from sticking together.
Meanwhile, thinly slice the vegetables. Prepare carrots, capsicum, cabbage and onions. Also, chop some spring onions and green chilies.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables
Heat a wok over high heat. Add oil and let it become hot.
Add finely chopped garlic. Stir-fry it for a few seconds. Next, add the onion and green chilies.
Add carrots and capsicum. Then, add the cabbage.
Stir-fry everything over high heat. Keep the vegetables slightly crunchy for a restaurant-style texture.
Add the Sauces and Noodles
Add soy sauce and red chili sauce. Next, add green chili sauce and vinegar.
Season with black pepper. Then, add the cooked noodles.
Toss everything gently over high heat. Avoid stirring too aggressively because the noodles may break.
Taste before adding salt. Soy sauce already contains salt, so add only as much as needed.
Finish with chopped spring onions. Serve immediately while the noodles are hot.
